This year’s Tee It Up for the Troops Central Illinois event was an incredible success thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, participants, and volunteers. Together, we raised $41,450 for local programs and $50,900 in total, providing hope and healing for veterans and their families all across this great nation.
Since the inception of the Tee It Up for the Troops Central IL area event 16 years ago, we have proudly contributed $652,006 locally and $1,293,100 in total to organizations serving those who have served us. These funds make a real difference in the lives of veterans and their families—helping with housing, mental health, service dogs, and more.
A special thank you to RLI, our Title Sponsor, for their unwavering support in making this event possible.
Below, we’re excited to share highlights from each local grant recipient and how these funds will be used to support veterans in our community and beyond.
IV Fuller Center for Housing
Goodwill Peoria – General Wayne A. Downing Home for Veterans
Military Order of the Purple Heart
Freedom Paws
Training a service dog costs about $15,000, and thanks to this grant, Freedom Paws can fully fund the training of a service dog for a veteran or first responder with PTSD. These dogs provide life-changing support and safety for those who need it most.
The Resiliency Project
The Resiliency Project will expand programs like Trainer 4 Vets, chiropractic care, and community events, while launching a new Veteran Therapy Fund to provide free, direct-access therapy sessions for veterans in need. This initiative removes barriers to mental health care and helps prevent veteran suicide.
